A leading educational organization seeks a Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Coordinator to enhance student learning through direct instructional support and collaboration with teachers. This role involves developing educational resources and professional development for teaching staff, ensuring compliance with educational standards, and implementing data analysis for IEP progress. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education and possess substantial teaching experience.
The Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Coordinator (CIA Coordinator) provides direct and indirect curriculum, instruction, and assessment services to students. The CIA Coordinator coordinates all materials and resources used for instruction and facilitates their modification and customization for use by students with a wide variety of needs. This position creates systems of progress monitoring, both for curricular and individualized progress on IEP goals and objectives.
Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
• Provide direct and indirect curricular, instructional, and assessment services to support student learning.
• Collaborate with teachers in the development of curricular modifications, materials, and assessments, both formative and summative.
• Work in collaboration with the principal and Local Education Agencies to ensure all curricular resources are current and complete, and meet local, state, and federal requirements.
• Create unit plans and develop the scope and sequences for each curricular area that provides delivery of learning objectives in a manner and pace appropriate for the student population served.
• Facilitate decisions regarding purchases to support alignment with curricular requirements.
• Ensure the management of inventory and circulation of curriculum and library materials.
• Deliver professional development to all teachers on newly purchased materials and their use.
• Plan and delivers professional development to newly hired teachers and all teachers within their initial three years of teaching.
• Create systems to accurately collect data for IEP progress monitoring.
• Analyze individual student and school wide trends in data, in order to recommend and implement interventions.
• Inform the Principal of all relevant situations.
• Attend trainings and meetings as required.
• Share/transmit the mission and vision of Arrow Child & Family Ministries to staff, students and families served.
• Occasional travel may be required. • Perform all duties within contract, state and federal regulations, company policy, and regulatory agency standards.
• May be required to drive vehicles, be insurable with our auto insurance provider, and complete company vehicle training.
Bachelor’s degree in Education or in a related field required. At least 5 years of experience in teaching and/or instructional leadership and Master’s Degree preferred. Must have a current professional Maryland State Department of Education license in Special Education.
