Responsibilities

• Mandate & Framework Analysis: Review AB 2927 and Ethnic Studies guidelines to ensure district courses meet graduation requirements.
• Core Topic Integration: Build unit plans covering banking, budgeting, credit, investments, and consumer protection.
• Standards Alignment: Align materials with California ELA/History/Social Studies standards and related frameworks.
• Curriculum and Assessment Development: Create curriculum maps and common assessments ensuring alignment and requirements.
• Teacher Presentations: Present analyses and curriculum maps to social studies teachers, administrators and school board.
• Release days: Schedule release days as needed by the Director of Teaching and Learning.
