Job summary

Charter Schools USA in Florida seeks an Academic Support Specialist to develop lesson plans and establish rapport with students, staff, and parents. The role emphasizes motivating learners and aligning instruction with established guidelines.

You will support district curriculum teams, facilitate professional development, and help ensure high standards across CSUSA FL schools. Travel within Florida is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Educational Leadership or Curriculum & Instruction preferred.
• 2-5 years' related experience and/or training.
• MS Office, SIS and email communications proficiency.
• Willingness to travel within Florida (12-month position).
• Ability to perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate in-person and mobile training for school leadership, curriculum teams and state team members.
• Conduct school support visits alongside CSs, fostering coaching and mentoring relationships.
• Provide feedback to CS team members regarding development and facilitation of professional development and audits.
• Foster collaborative environments with leadership teams and stakeholders.
• Support the review and adoption of instructional resources, programs, and materials.
• Develop and update CSUSA FL curriculum maps and assessments; manage annual updates.
• Provide guidance on state standards, courses offered, and state assessments.
• Train on data sources, data disaggregation/aggregation, and data-driven instruction.
