Job summary

The Assistant Director for Curricular Initiatives at the University of California, Berkeley leads day-to-day operations for major undergraduate engagement programs, guiding curriculum design, assessment, and policy alignment across six large-scale programs.

You will collaborate with faculty and staff to advance educational outcomes, manage budgets, recruit participants, and report impact, while supporting remote work up to two days per week within the UC system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related area.
• Advanced knowledge of curriculum development and design.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Experience designing and assessing programs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for six major curricular and research programs, including planning, recruitment, budgeting, and assessment.
• Set policies and support communications planning for engagement programs, including eligibility and outcomes.
• Lead complex analyses across programs and produce reports demonstrating impact and outcomes.
• Develop proposals and recommendations to guide strategic direction and obtain necessary approvals.
• Coordinate scheduling, grant funds, faculty correspondence, and interactions with staff and units to ensure smooth operations.
