Job summary

Alice L. Walton School of Medicine (AWSOM) seeks a detail‑oriented Program Coordinator to support Phase I and II curriculum operations and accreditation efforts.

The role collaborates with the Curricular Affairs team to manage programs, projects, and processes, implement improvements, and stay current with medical education practices. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of administrative experience, with strong communication and project management skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; equivalent combination considered.
  • 3–5 years administrative experience.
  • Experience with process improvement and project management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including editing.
  • Strong time management with ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem‑solving and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; capability to learn new software.
  • Experience in higher education/medical education preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support day‑to‑day operational needs of Curricular Affairs as directed.
  • Develop and recommend process improvements and coordinate initiatives.
  • Contribute to ongoing accreditation efforts with relevant bodies.
  • Assist with instructional technologies such as ScholarRx, Canvas, One45, ExamSoft.
  • Assist with exams administration, proctoring, scheduling, and policy compliance.
  • Manage projects requiring multitasking and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Perform other duties to meet curricular and accreditation timelines.
