Job summary

KC Current is seeking a part-time Current Cultivator to join our experiential marketing team. You will represent the brand at community events within a regional radius, engage fans, and promote KC Current values.

This role involves event-based hours and the ability to drive lead generation and fan participation. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with marketing/communications exposure preferred.

Who are we hiring?

Current Cultivators are the face of KC Current in communities across the region. This role is designed for individuals who want hands-on experience in sports marketing, fan engagement, and brand representation while helping grow women's sports.

The Current Cultivator will play a vital role in representing KC Current engaging with the community at regional events within a 3-hour driving radius from CPKC stadium. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, personable, and passionate about women's sports and the mission of KC Current. This role requires a strong commitment to promoting our brand, engaging with fans, and assisting in fan engagement initiatives.

This is a part-time, highly variable event-based role. Hours range from 0-29 hours a week, based on number of events, event needs, etc. The events will be held at various venues and cities regionally within a 3-hour driving radius of CPKC Stadium in Missouri and Kansas.

What will you do?

• Serve as an ambassador for KC Current at community events and promotional activities.
• Engage with fans and the community to promote the KC Current brand, mission, and values.
• Distribute promotional materials to increase exposure and awareness of the team and drive fan participation.
• Gather and report fan feedback to support continuous fan experience improvement.
• Proactively encourage event attendees to fill out "Enter to Win" giveaways and meet event-based Lead Generation goals.
• Maintain accurate inventory information for swag items.
• All other duties and directives assigned by Experiential Field Marketing Manager or their designee.
• Actively contribute to event activation goals measured by specific numeric targets per event (e.g., # of email sign-ups, contest entries, interaction counts).

Qualifications

• Reside or be accessible within a commutable distance for shifts.
• High School diploma or equivalent; college degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in brand ambassadorship, marketing and/or sales, or customer service is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences with enthusiasm.
• Passion for women's sports and a commitment to supporting KC Current's mission.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Availability to work a minimum of 8 events per month.

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to stand, walk, and move around the venue for extended periods of time, often during events or facility setup and breakdown.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed for event setup, equipment management, or assisting with operational needs.
• Requires occasional bending, squatting, and reaching overhead to handle various tasks related to facility management, equipment, and event preparation.
• Must be capable of working in physically demanding environments, including navigating stairs, ramps, and elevated platforms during venue conversions.
• Ability to work outdoors continuously for extended periods of time in all weather conditions
