Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Digital Clerk to fulfill online curbside orders and ensure a smooth pickup experience from start to finish. You will drive customer loyalty and satisfaction by accurate order fulfillment and friendly communication at the curbside pickup area.

The role emphasizes attentiveness to detail, a service mindset, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly. Prior retail or cashier experience is valued, with full-time growth opportunities within a family-oriented retailer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience; prior retail experience preferred.
• Past cashier experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
• Process-driven with the ability to follow procedures in an efficient, consistent way.
• Past online ordering experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide remarkable service at the curbside pickup area through accurate order fulfillment and payment collection.
• Greet each customer with a courteous, friendly attitude in person and on the phone.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers, team members and leadership.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly by partnering with leadership when needed.
• Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift.
• Select items, scan/verify products, and bag items using bagging standards.
• Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines.
• Keep the curbside area clean, neat, and ready for the next pickup.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
