Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Digital Clerk to fulfill online curbside orders with speed and accuracy, delivering a smooth pickup experience from start to finish. You will greet customers, handle payments, and ensure accurate item selection and packing while maintaining a clean curbside area.

The role emphasizes a customer-first mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly. Training will occur, and prior retail or cashier experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience; prior retail experience preferred.
• Past cashier experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide remarkable service at the curbside pickup area through accurate order fulfillment and payment collection.
• Greet customers with a courteous attitude and respond to questions and needs.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers, team members, and leadership.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly by partnering with leadership when needed.
• Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders during the shift.
• Select items, scan/verify products, bag items using bagging standards.
• Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines.
• Keep the curbside area clean and ready for the next pickup.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
