Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Digital Clerk to fulfill online curbside orders, delivering a fast, accurate pickup experience. You’ll greet customers, assist with payments, and maintain a seamless carside process that keeps orders moving smoothly at the Meijer Pickup area.

You’ll need at least 1 year in retail, strong communication, and attention to detail. The role emphasizes service, teamwork, and the ability to learn new technologies while supporting a busy curbside operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience; prior retail experience preferred.
• Past cashier experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
• Process-driven with the ability to follow procedures in an efficient, consistent way.
• Past online ordering experience a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide remarkable service at the curbside pickup area through accurate order fulfillment and payment collection.
• Greet each customer with a courteous, friendly attitude in person and on the phone and respond to questions and needs.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers, team members across the store and leadership.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly by partnering with leadership when needed.
• Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift.
• Select items throughout the store, scan/verify products, and bag items appropriately using bagging standards.
• Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines.
• Keep the curbside area clean, neat, and ready for the next pickup.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
• In short: you’ll turn online orders into easy, reliable, “right-on-time” pickups.
