Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide the best possible shopping experience and an exceptional checkout experience.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily work tasks.
• Mentor and coach team members to exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Assist in training new team members and cross-training high-potential talent.
• Help create department schedules focusing on engagement, service, and profitability.
• Ensure product freshness through rotation and dating policies; maintain food safety standards.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and product displays as applicable.
• Support Meijer culture and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
• Operate a register and cash handling when needed; operate powered equipment when applicable.
