Job summary

Brix Paving Northwest Inc is seeking a Curb Machine Operator in Boise, ID. This role involves preparing, pouring, and finishing concrete with curb machines, reading plans, and maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities include operating heavy equipment, performing inspections, and coordinating with the team to meet project timelines. A CDL A is preferred, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience operating concrete slip-form equipment.
• CDL A license preferred with clean driving record.
• Ability to read site plans, blueprints, and grade stakes to ensure accurate finishes.
• Willingness to perform manual labor alongside operating duties.
• Strong commitment to safety, including OSHA-related practices.
• Good communication with team, supervisors, and clients to coordinate tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate curb machines to pour and shape concrete curbs, sidewalks, and barriers per specifications.
• Set up and align curb machines for proper grade and elevation.
• Monitor concrete flow to ensure correct mix, timing, and finish quality.
• Read blueprints and site plans to follow layout requirements.
• Transport materials and equipment using CDL A vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in line with DOT regulations.
• Safely load and secure heavy equipment and materials.
• Operate other heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, skid steers, backhoes).
• Use hand and power tools to finish surfaces and clean site.
• Maintain clear communication with team and clients to meet project needs.
