Job summary

Walbec Group seeks an Operator to run a Curb Machine and related equipment at sites in the Midwest, emphasizing safety and efficiency across different machines such as skid steers, backhoes, loaders, dozers, graders, and compactors.

Valid driver''s license required; CDL desirable but not required. Must be able to work nights and weekends and be willing to labor when not operating. Union membership is encouraged and may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver''s license and satisfactory driving record.
• CDL class A is desired but not required.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Experience operating equipment and ability to safely operate a Curb Machine.
• Ability to work varied hours including nights, early mornings, and weekends.
• Willingness to labor when not operating equipment.
• Membership in a Local Operators Union or willingness to join.
• Pass the Operators Union aptitude test when required.

The Position

We're looking for an Operator responsible for operating a Curb Machine along with several other types of construction equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This equipment may include, but is not limited to skid steers, backhoes, front-end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, and other pieces of equipment.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• A Class A CDL is desired but not necessary prior to hire.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Punctual and dependable.
• Experience operating equipment, and the ability to safely and efficiently operate a Curb Machine desired.
• Able to work varied hours including nights, early mornings, and weekends as needed.
• Be able to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions, and work in dirty and dusty environments.
• When not operating equipment, be willing to labor as needed.
• Member of a Local Operators Union, or willingness to become a union member are required. Union membership is not required prior to employment. Our Human Resources Department is available to assist in that process as needed.
• Successfully pass or has passed the Operators Union aptitude test when required.
