Job summary

Michigan State University’s Broad Museum seeks an Assistant Curator to contribute to its curatorial vision by developing exhibitions, acquisitions, and programs. Key duties include exhibition development, collection growth, grant writing, donor relations, and campus partnerships, with global profiles

Qualifications

• Experience assisting with the development of thematic and monographic art exhibitions and publications.
• Three or more years of curatorial/museum experience.
• Broad knowledge of art history and developments in curatorial practice and theory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement museum exhibitions aligned with the museum’s strategic goals and MSU standards.
• Contribute to collection growth and stewardship through research and object files.
• Participate in grant writing and fundraising activities for exhibitions and publications.
• Cultivate campus and community partnerships and represents the museum in various forums.
• Coordinate and support committee activities and scholarly programs.

Education

Master's degree in Art History, Curatorial Practice, Arts Administration or related field
