Job summary

Waverley Council is seeking a passionate curator to contribute to exhibitions and cultural programs across its arts spaces. You will work with artists, partners and internal teams to deliver meaningful experiences for a diverse community.

The role offers permanent full-time employment with flexible work arrangements and health/wellness initiatives, including an EAP. This position fosters an inclusive, community-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Current industry knowledge, tertiary qualifications in Visual Arts or Curatorial Studies.
• Excellent skills in building constructive relationships with arts and community stakeholders.
• Ability to support cross organisational project teams to deliver outcomes in a complex environment.
• Experience in designing, delivering and evaluating Visual Arts programs that offer engaging experiences.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and visual communication skills with strong experience in working collaboratively across a dynamic organisation.
• Experience in budgeting, tracking expenditure, event/project and resource management, negotiation, contracting and risk management in an arts context.
• Ability and willingness to work outside standard office hours, including weekends.
• An understanding of and commitment to EEO and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
