Job summary

Golden State Foods is seeking a Cup Machine Operator for 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM). You will operate packaging systems, load materials, adjust settings, and perform changeovers to keep production efficient.

Responsibilities include logging production data, performing minor troubleshooting, and maintaining safety and cleanliness with COP/CIP methods. Must meet education/experience requirements and work 12-hour shifts up to six days per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months experience in manufacturing or similar setting, or equivalent training.
• Able to read and follow production documents and safety instructions.
• Able to complete logs clearly and accurately.
• Good communication with peers and supervisors.
• Basic math for weight, volume and distance.
• Able to solve simple problems under time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Operate 6+ packaging systems (W25-1/2, Cryovac, L24, BIB, 12-up, 6-up fillers).
• Load film carts and rolls; monitor and adjust for continuous operation.
• Select packaging materials (boxes, labels, date coding).
• Adjust machine settings to meet target weights.
• Execute standard changeovers with team to minimize downtime.
• Perform minor mechanical troubleshooting independently.
• Document production data (logs, downtime, metal detection).
• Clean and sanitize equipment using COP/CIP methods.
• Follow safety protocols including lockout/tagout and identify emergency stops.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, quality and regulatory standards.
