Job summary

Blount Fine Foods, a family-owned manufacturer of premium fresh prepared foods, is seeking a Cup Pack Out Manager for the third shift in Fall River, MA. You will oversee daily operations of the cup packaging lines across second and third shifts, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency while guiding a multi-shift team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment, preferably in Food & Beverage.
• Demonstrated experience managing automated packaging equipment and conveyor systems.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of LEAN, Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Direct and coordinate the daily activities of the Cup Pack Out department to meet production schedules and customer demand.
• Quality & Food Safety: Ensure 100% compliance with FSQ standards, labeling requirements, and SQF/HACCP regulations, always maintaining audit-ready status.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor KPIs such as OEE, scrap rates, material waste, and labor variance, and implement strategies to minimize downtime.
• Safety Management: Foster a Safety First culture. Conduct regular safety audits, lead accident investigations, and ensure all team members are trained on LOTO and machine guarding protocols.
• Personnel Development: Manage staffing levels, recruitment, and training for Pack Out Leads and Supervisors. Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and mentorship.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead 5S workplace organization initiatives. Utilize root-cause analysis (e.g., 5-Why) to resolve operational bottlenecks and downtime issues.
• Inventory & Resource Planning: Coordinate with scheduling and warehouse teams to ensure all packaging materials are staged and available for production runs.
