Job summary

The Clare Swan Early Learning Center in Alaska seeks a compassionate Classroom Aide to support teachers across infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms. You will help implement lesson plans, supervise activities, and ensure a safe, caring environment that fosters social and emotional growth.

In this part-time, regular position, you’ll work closely with families, maintain confidentiality, and participate in required trainings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year of experience working with children.
• Available to consistently work 29 hours per week.
• Infant/Toddler CPR/First Aid certification or willing to obtain within three months.
• Must provide a copy of current Health Report.
• CDA credential at time of hire or willing to obtain within two years.
• Background check clearance required.
• Knowledge of Alaska Native and American Indian community needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing lesson plans to enhance education and development.
• Utilize teaching strategies to meet educational and developmental goals.
• Provide a safe, nurturing learning environment with respectful guidance.
• Promote parent-child bonding and family engagement.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow policies.
• Provide coverage at the Drop-in Center as needed.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
