Job summary

Parallel is hiring for NETA Cultivation Team Members at our Franklin, Massachusetts facility. This union-based role supports all stages of propagation, vegetative growth, flowering, and harvest, with a strong emphasis on compliance and safety.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid government-issued photo identification.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently when required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform measurements, calculations, and accurately record data.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Six (6) months or more of cannabis, agricultural, greenhouse, horticulture, nursery, or cultivation experience.
  • Previous experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Passion for plant science and commercial cultivation.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily cultivation activities across all plant lifecycle stages.
  • Assist with transplanting, pruning, watering, fertilizing, and IPM practices.
  • Maintain environmental conditions for plant health and productivity.
  • Take cuttings from mother plants and assist with cloning and propagation processes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout cultivation areas, tools, and equipment.
  • Safely operate cultivation equipment and systems.
  • Assist with general labor tasks as needed to support facility operations.
  • Harvest mature plants according to production schedules and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor drying rooms and environmental conditions to support product quality.
  • Weigh, record, and track harvest yields and production metrics.
  • Assist with inventory management and waste tracking procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of cultivation activities, inventory movements, harvests, and treatments.
  • Follow all state regulations, company policies, and seed-to-sale tracking requirements.
  • Adhere to workplace safety standards and best cultivation practices.

Pay Rate: $17.35 per hour (flat rate per union contract, not negotiable)

Schedule & Hours: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, rotating schedule with a 4 day work week and a 10 hour work day

  • Week 1 Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Saturday

What You'll Do
Plant Care & Cultivation Support
  • Support daily cultivation activities throughout all stages of the plant lifecycle, including propagation, vegetative growth, flowering, and harvest.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly without assistance
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and reach throughout the workday
  • Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including heat, humidity, and cooler temperatures
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
  • Ability to climb ladders and work safely around cultivation equipment
  • Comfortable working in an environment with exposure to plant materials, pollen, dust, odors, fertilizers, and varying indoor climate conditions
