Job summary

Thrive Restaurant Group is seeking a Line Cook to join the Applebee’s kitchen team. You will be responsible for assigned prep work and your cook’s station while maintaining high standards for presentation, quality, and timing.

You will be cross-trained across kitchen roles and learn the recipes and specifications used across all menu items. The role emphasizes learning business, leadership, and hospitality in a family atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Must have a positive attitude and a desire to learn and grow.
• Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required.
• Able to use knives and other food prep equipment.
• Mobility to move around the kitchen during the shift.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds; transport cases up to 50 pounds.
• Respond to emergencies to avoid danger.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to Applebee’s Recipes, Plate Presentations and specifications (50%*).
• Complete all assigned prep work (15%*).
• Set up workstation according to station diagram (15%*).
• Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times (10%*).
• Clean and sanitize the work area before, during and after shift (5%*).
• Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects (5%*).
