Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital - Integrative Kitchen is seeking a part-time PRN culinary instructor to design and deliver engaging cooking courses aligned with educational standards. The role requires teaching hands-on demonstrations and ensuring a safe kitchen environment.

You will monitor class flow, support general operations, and assist with catered events while adapting to a flexible teaching schedule. Prior teaching and Serve Safe certified credentials are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in culinary arts or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1 year of culinary teaching or related teaching experience.
• Serve Safe Certification required at hire.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops engaging culinary courses and curricula that align with educational standards and participants needs.
• Delivers clear lectures, demonstrates cooking techniques, and guides hands-on exercises.
• Maintains a safe, clean kitchen by adhering to food safety regulations and sanitation checks.
• Monitors class atmosphere, engagement, and adjusts to participants’ needs.
• Sets up stations, manages inventory, and supports service for special events.
• Accounts for dietary requirements and meal planning within standardized recipes.
