Hudson Table in Stamford is seeking a motivated hospitality leader to serve as General Manager for our culinary studio. You will manage every aspect of the operation, lead 2–3 classes or events weekly, and collaborate with management to deliver memorable experiences for guests.

We emphasize tech-forward practices, with in-house platforms, Slack, and AI tools to schedule staff, build orders, and handle admin tasks. Compensation includes class/event pay, tips, and incentives.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of food and beverage leadership experience (Kitchen Manager/Lead Chef or similar)
• Current food-safety certification (ServSafe Manager or equivalent)
• Hands-on experience with purchasing, receiving, inventory and cost control
• Experience building staff schedules and managing labor and overtime
• Comfortable with technology: Google Workspace, scheduling and inventory/purchasing platforms, Slack, and a willingness to use AI tools daily
• Detail-oriented with strong professional integrity
• Great people skills and ability to lead a team in a fast-paced setting
• Available evenings and weekends

Responsabilités

• Hire, onboard and train Chef Instructors, Kitchen Assistants, Hosts and Dishwashers, working with leadership.
• Build and publish the location’s staff schedule and assign shifts fairly.
• Manage real-time coverage, timecards, and overtime minimization.
• Oversee food cost, inventory and spending; review chef purchases and reimbursements.
• Run weekly close-out reviews of events (food cost, tips, timecards, closing duties).
• Use AI tools (Claude) and automated workflows for scheduling, ordering and reporting.
