Job summary

Discovery Land Company is seeking a Steward for the Culinary Department at Homewood Mountain & Lake Club in California. The role emphasizes cleanliness, setup support, and event servicing across the business.

Applicants should have prior culinary experience and/or a culinary degree, with strong knowledge of food safety regulations. Flexible hours, teamwork, and physical endurance are required for this fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Prior culinary experience is preferred.
• Culinary Degree/Certification(s) preferred.
• Understand and abide by federal, state and local food safety regulations, including state food handler certificates.

Responsibilities

• Keeps all food preparation areas clean and sanitary.
• Provides courteous service and proper handling of kitchen equipment.
• Adheres to COSHH knowledge and safety measures when using cleaning materials.
• Ensures kitchens are cleaned and maintained before/after daily operations; assists with inventory control.
• Maintains knowledge of cleaning products and keeps areas stocked and clean.
• Manages linen usage and refreshes stock as needed.
• Assists culinary staff and performs side work and cleaning as required.
• Communicates with supervisor to ensure tasks are completed.
• Provides prompt, courteous service to F&B team and guests.
