Job summary

Crowne Plaza Lansing is seeking a Dish Steward to uphold cleanliness and sanitation across kitchen areas, restaurant, and banquet spaces. The role supports dish stocking, breakroom upkeep, and timely delivery of serviceware to various departments.

Preferred candidates have at least six months in food service and a high school diploma or equivalent. Flexibility with varied hotel schedules and training sessions is required to align with hotel operations.

Qualifications

• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards in culinary areas.
• Able to operate and troubleshoot a dish machine.
• Communicates effectively with kitchen staff and associates.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes and utensils.
• Store cleaned items in proper locations.
• Maintain the dish machine and dish room in an organized manner.
• Assist in delivering dishes to departments per supervisor’s instructions.
• Ensure cleanliness of the kitchen, bus racks, and cook’s utensils.
• Keep the employee breakroom clean and organized.
• Assist in Pantry and Banquet prep as needed.
