Job summary

New Perspective Westlake Woods in Erie, PA is seeking a Culinary Services Director to lead food and beverage operations across the community. You will oversee procurement, preparation and service under the Menu Program, while managing budgets, staff training and compliance with safety and sanitation standards.

You will coach and inspire team members, ensuring exceptional resident and family engagement and high-quality dining experiences in a collaborative, service-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of regulations governing food handling, storage, preparation and sanitation.
• 3+ years of successful management experience in hospitality or dining services.
• 4+ years as lead chef in a hospitality/restaurant setting.
• Culinary training and/or dietary certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and management of food, beverage and dining services in the community.
• Oversee procurement, preparation and service per Menu Program; manage finances of the department.
• Supervise, train and develop team members; ensure safe handling and sanitation.
• Maintain inventory, product rotation and accurate record keeping; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Engage residents and families, communicating effectively and fostering teamwork.

Description

As the Culinary Services Director, you will be responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the food and beverage and dining services operations in the community. These responsibilities include oversight of procurement, preparation and service of the food per the designated Menu Program, financial management of the department, supervising and training team members. They also include ensuring safe food handling and sanitation of food areas, inventory and rotation of products, accurate record keeping and regulatory compliance. You will create and maintain a high level of resident and family engagement and practice your excellent communication and organizational skills by teaching, developing, and inspiring team members.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of regulations concerning food handling, food storage, food preparation, safety and sanitation procedures
• 3+ years of successful management experience
• 4+ years experience as lead chef in a hospitality/restaurant environment
• Culinary training and/or Dietary Certifications required
