Job summary

New Perspective Senior Living, LLC in Cloquet, MN, is seeking a Culinary Services Director to lead the food and beverage and dining services across the community. You will oversee procurement, menu compliance, and service, while managing the department budget and training a caring team.

You will ensure safe food handling, inventory control, and regulatory compliance, and you will engage residents and families through clear communication and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Regulatory knowledge on food handling, storage, preparation, safety and sanitation.
• 3+ years of management experience.
• 4+ years as lead chef in a hospitality/restaurant environment.
• Culinary training and/or dietary certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and management of food, beverage, and dining services across the community.
• Oversee procurement, menu compliance, preparation, and service per Menu Program and budget.
• Manage department finances, supervise and train team members, ensure safe food handling and sanitation.
• Maintain inventory control, product rotation, and regulatory record keeping.

As the Culinary Services Director, you will be responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the food and beverage and dining services operations in the community. These responsibilities include oversight of procurement, preparation and service of the food per the designated Menu Program, financial management of the department, supervising and training team members. They also include ensuring safe food handling and sanitation of food areas, inventory and rotation of products, accurate record keeping and regulatory compliance. You will create and maintain a high level of resident and family engagement and practice your excellent communication and organizational skills by teaching, developing, and inspiring team members.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of regulations concerning food handling, food storage, food preparation, safety and sanitation procedures
• 3+ years of successful management experience
• 4+ years experience as lead chef in a hospitality/restaurant environment
• Culinary training and/or Dietary Certifications required

The salary range for this role is $50,00-$60,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
