Job summary

The Wellington at Springfield, a Sonida Senior Living community, is seeking a Culinary Services Cook to join our team in Springfield, MA. You will plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals while upholding high sanitation and service standards.

Responsibilities include assisting the Dining Services Director, managing meals for shifts, and ensuring clean dining rooms and kitchens. Prior experience in large-scale meal preparation and a Food Service Sanitation Certificate are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• Experience in volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred; ability to read recipes, work in a team, flexible shifts, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and serves meals in a nutritious, organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining an efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares meals for assigned shifts and ensures service standards and cleanliness in dining areas.
• Maintains leftovers with proper labeling, dating, and storage.
