Job summary

Park Place Senior Living at Winghaven in O'Fallon, MO is seeking a Culinary Services Cook to join our team. You will plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals for residents in a sanitary, timely manner while supporting the dining services department.

You should have a High School diploma or equivalent and a Food Service Sanitation Certificate, plus experience with volume meal prep. We offer competitive wages, health and dental insurance, 401k, paid training, and PTO from day one.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals in a timely and sanitary manner.
• Assist the Culinary Services Director in maintaining an organized dining services department.
• Prepare and serve meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintain dining standards, service quality, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Clean after preparation and service; maintain area and equipment.
• Ensure leftovers are properly labeled, dated, and stored.

Culinary Services CookResponsibilities include:

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
• Clean after preparation and service; work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored in the proper place.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• High Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
