Job summary

The Addison of Woodstock, a Sonida Senior Living community in Woodstock, GA, seeks a qualified Culinary Services Cook to plan, prepare, and serve meals for residents in an assisted living and memory care setting.

You will support the Culinary Services Director, maintain high dining standards, and work in a team-focused environment that values quality care and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Food Service Sanitation Certificate per state/local requirements
• Experience in volume meal prep and serving for large groups
• Supervisory experience preferred; able to read/understand recipes, work in a team, flexible shifts, multitask, and communicate effectively

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and serve attractive, nutritious meals in a timely, sanitary manner
• Assist Culinary Services Director in maintaining an organized Dining Services department
• Prepare and serve meals for assigned shifts
• Maintain dining service standards including service delivery, customer service and cleanliness
• Clean after preparation and service; maintain work area and equipment
• Ensure leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored properly

Culinary Services CookResponsibilities include:

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
• Clean after preparation and service; work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored in the proper place.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• High Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
