Job summary

The Waterford at Wisconsin Rapids is seeking a dedicated Culinary Services Cook to join our team in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. You will plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals for residents in a safe, organized manner.

As part of a senior living community, you will support the Culinary Services Director, manage shifts, and help maintain high dining standards while practicing proper sanitation and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Food Service Sanitation Certificate required per state/local requirements.
• Experience with large-volume meal preparation is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and serves meals in a timely, organized, sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining an efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains dining standards including service, customer care, and cleanliness of dining areas and kitchen.
• Cleans after preparation and service; maintain work areas and equipment.
• Ensure leftovers are properly labeled, dated, and stored correctly.

Culinary Services CookResponsibilities include:

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
• Clean after preparation and service; work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored in the proper place.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• High Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
