Job summary

The Ashton on the Plaza, a Sonida Senior Living community in Kansas City, Missouri, is seeking a Culinary Services Cook to plan, prepare, and serve meals for residents in an assisted living and memory care setting.

You will support the Culinary Services Director, maintain dining standards, and ensure sanitary operations while delivering compassionate, high-quality care to residents.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Food Service Sanitation Certificate per State/Local requirements.
• Experience with high-volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred; ability to read recipes and work in a team, with flexible shifts and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
• Clean after preparation and service; work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored in the proper place.

Culinary Services Cook Responsibilities Include
