Responsibilities

• Perform defined work routines using dietary utensils and equipment as assigned by the Chef Manager/Culinary Director.
• Assist the cook in preparing and serving meals.
• Follow Federal and State regulations and department policies.
• Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled.
• Arrange trays, load food carts, and serve meals.
• Set up dining room and serve residents.
• Wash and store dishes.
• Report supply and equipment needs per procedures.
• Receive and store food and supplies.
• Attend in-service training.
• Follow safety codes while performing duties.
• Follow infection control procedures.
• Know fire and disaster plans; follow procedures during drills and emergencies.
• Know applicable federal/state/facility rules and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef Manager/Culinary Director.
• Adhere to facility and department policies including HR, ethics, health & safety, and HIPAA.
• Attend department meetings.
• Demonstrate accountability for growth and required certifications.
• Complete mandatory training annually.
