Job summary

Sur La Table is hiring a Sales Associate to help guests explore culinary products and services in our Walnut Creek store. You will deliver a best-in-class customer experience, assist with daily store operations, and contribute to sales goals through enthusiastic, knowledgeable service.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of retail experience, strong communication, and a passion for delighting customers with product expertise and friendly service.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of employment.
• 1 year of retail sales experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand to create memorable, educational experiences.
• Stay current on products through training and self-learning.
• Engage customers, identify needs, recommend products, foster guest-obsessed culture.
• Identify customer needs and offer relevant solutions.
• Promote add-on sales and events to drive store traffic.
• Meet or exceed monthly sales goals and contribute to store revenue.
• Collaborate with teammates to maintain a positive, high-performing culture.
• Assist onboarding by sharing product knowledge.
• Process transactions accurately using the POS system.
• Support opening/closing, replenishment, and visual merchandising.
• Complete inventory tasks including receiving and RARs.
• Record time worked per policy and comply with SOPs.
