Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring for a full time and part time cook at USF Tampa. This role prepares food per recipes, serves meals, and supports daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced educational food service environment.

The position requires culinary experience, may include weekends, and offers a range of benefits. Applicants must be able to work FT/PT shifts and maintain high standards of food safety and presentation.

Qualifications

• Culinary experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes.
• Good teamwork and communication.
• Availability to work FT/PT including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
• Maintains cleanliness and proper storage of food and supplies, following safety and HACCP standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
• Reports maintenance issues or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
