Job summary

The Food Prep/Server prepares ingredients, keeps the kitchen clean and orderly, and performs some of the simpler cooking functions as assigned according to the menu. The Food Prep/Server is responsible for serving and clean-up of food.

Responsibilities include preparing and cooking food items, taking temperatures, presenting dishes, serving customers promptly, and maintaining sanitation and inventory in the kitchen.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Food Safety Certification required.
• Strong customer service abilities.
• Ability to communicate issues to management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes and menus.
• Take temperatures and manage quantities to minimize waste.
• Prepare and arrange food for serving with proper presentation.
• Provide friendly customer service and take orders clearly.
• Serve orders quickly and accurately.
• Maintain clean counters and work areas.
• Inventory food items and supplies in serving areas.
• Cook short order items on the line and assist prep.
• Help maintain kitchen sanitation and equipment cleaning schedule.
• Assist with loading/unloading inventory from trucks.
