Job summary

The Straz Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Tampa is seeking a Cook to prepare high-quality food items for the line, pantry, or production area in accordance with supervisor guidelines. The role requires working nights, weekends, and some holidays in a fast-paced kitchen, with flexibility to support banquet functions and special orders.

Qualifications

• Ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Knowledge of kitchen procedures and functions.
• Ability to work in all stations within a kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items for line, pantry, or production area in a timely and accurate manner.
• Coordinates with Executive Chef/Sous Chef for banquet functions and special orders.
• Maintains kitchen cleanliness and sanitary handling of food.
• Obtains necessary supplies and equipment to perform duties.
