Job summary

HHS is seeking friendly, compassionate team members to join the Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Oklahoma City culinary team. As part of the dietary team, you will assist patients with menu selections and deliver meals in a timely fashion while providing excellent customer service to ensure patient satisfaction.

We offer flexible schedules with day, evening, and night shifts. Background checks, drug screening, and proof of employment eligibility are required; full-time and part-time positions are

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must practice good personal hygiene and be neatly groomed in a uniform.
  • Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
  • Preferred: Culinary experience (cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure each patient receives an accurate meal that matches their order and diet requirements.
  • Provide excellent customer service for all patients.
  • Deliver and collect patient menus in a timely manner.
  • Prepare cold/hot items and condiments for meal times.
  • Adhere to the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently

Job Description

We’re looking for friendly, compassionate team players to join our culinary team!

As part of the dietary team, assist patients with menu selection and deliver their meals in a timely fashion. Provide excellent customer service to ensure every patient is satisfied with their meal.

Patient Ambassador
  • Wage: $14.50/hour
  • Full-time and part-time positions available
  • Day/Evening/Night shifts available

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged standing and walking continuously, frequent stooping, and bending and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
