Job summary

The Wisconsin Union is seeking a Culinary Support Manager to lead the daily operations of our high-volume production kitchen in Memorial Union. You will manage kitchen staff, coordinate production, plan menus, and ensure exceptional customer service and quality dishes.

Reports to the Associate Executive Chef. You will implement best practices for safety, efficiency, and procedures, order and receive supplies, develop menus, and support catering and retail teams.

Qualifications

• 3 years of progressive experience overseeing a high-volume production operation.
• 1 year as a lead or supervisor in a multi-department kitchen.
• ServSafe Certification required or able to obtain within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and coordinate daily food production activities to maximize efficiency and quality.
• Lead and implement best practices for kitchen organization, safety, and procedures.
• Order and receive products, develop and plan menus.
• Manage full-time cooks and student workers in kitchen and dish room.
• Support catering and retail/restaurant teams.
• Oversee unit budget monitoring and inventory.
