Job summary

Proof of the Pudding seeks an experienced General Manager to lead all culinary operations for the Kansas City Monarchs stadium. You will oversee day-to-day food and beverage, events, staffing, hiring, and interdepartmental communications, with full financial accountability.

We value strong catering leadership, budget mastery, and a passion for upscale event experiences. The role requires managing a team of 40 hourly staff and collaborating across sales, operations, culinary, and warehouse teams

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; degree preferred.
• 3–5+ years of food service management experience.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and inventory systems.
• Experience with budgeting, P&L statements and cost control.
• Food Safety Certification (e.g., ServSafe Manager) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive methods to improve quality, efficiency and productivity.
• Set comprehensive goals for department performance and growth.
• Oversee daily operations for ~40 hourly staff and events.
• Lead teams with data-driven performance expectations and engagement.
• Coordinate with sales, operations, culinary and warehouse teams.
• Forecast, report progress, and manage invoices and finances.
• Interview, hire, train and develop talent at all levels.
