Job summary

Episcopal Community Services of San Francisco seeks an Associate Director of CHEFS & Social Enterprise to lead three production kitchens, ensure contract compliance, and drive financial performance. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership of kitchen teams, HACCP adherence, and stakeholder collaboration with vendors and the ECS development team.

The position is onsite and requires in-person management of meals production, training, and client-facing operations within ECS

Qualifications

7+ years of progressive culinary leadership experience, including executive-level responsibilities.
ServSafe certification is required.
HACCP certification is required.
Strong financial acumen, including cost, inventory, purchasing, labor, and budgeting.
Proven team leadership and people-development experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee CHEFS production kitchens to meet contract specs and nutritional standards.
Monitor government meal contracts for compliance and financial targets.
Lead kitchen operations and budget controls across three sites.
Direct staff including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and coaching.
Partner with vendors, suppliers, and ECS leadership on strategic initiatives.
