Job summary

Morrison Living is seeking a Sous Chef to lead the culinary department for a facility in a hospital-like setting. You will supervise 10-15 hourly staff and work with the Executive Chef on menus and ordering to support culinary excellence.

Ideal candidates have progressive kitchen management experience, strong cost controls, and a track record in high-volume operations, with Comfort in Dine OS and Microsoft Office tools.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience in culinary fields.
• Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience preferred.
• Experience with Dine OS is desirable.
• Catering experience is a plus.
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience is highly desirable.
• Institutional and batch cooking experience helpful.
• Experience with ordering, inventory and production sheets.
• Knowledge of food, catering trends, sanitation and food cost controls.
• Computer proficiency including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet.
• Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs.
• ServSafe certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures.
• Assist in planning and creating menus.
• Produce and execute catering events.
• Roll out new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams.
