Job summary

Cedarhurst Living is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare high-quality meals for residents in a community setting. You will follow standardized recipes, ensure dietary needs are met, and uphold safety and infection control standards.

Reporting to the Dining Services Director, you’ll help train staff, manage portions, and maintain accurate temperature and cleaning records while delivering a warm, resident-centered dining experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least one year experience as a cook preferred.
• Food Manager Certification or ability to obtain.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve foods per menu cycle and recipes.
• Ensure dietary needs are met and food temperatures are controlled.
• Maintain temperature logs and cleaning schedules.
• Assist with training new kitchen staff and safety procedures.
• Communicate with residents' families as needed.
