Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a Cook to prepare high-quality, nutritious meals and ensure they meet residents' dietary needs and safety standards. The role supports the Dining Services Director and collaborates with kitchen staff to maintain culinary excellence.

Responsibilities include portion control, temperature and quality checks, and assisting with staff training. The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to infection control protocols, and contributing to a welcoming dining

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year experience as a cook is preferred.
• Applicable state/county licensure required.
• Food Manager Certification, or ability to obtain, is required.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, EHRs, and HR systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion foods according to menu and recipes.
• Meet dietary needs and maintain food safety standards.
• Document temperature logs and cleaning schedules.
• Assist orientation and training of new kitchen staff.
• Ensure proper food temperatures and infection control practices.
• Collaborate with Dining Services Director and staff.
