Job summary

Taylor's Culinary Institute in Florida is seeking a Kitchen & Stores Assistant to support the smooth running of the Kitchen & Restaurant practical classes, maintain stores, assist lecturers, and ensure cleanliness and safety.

You will help prepare F&B products for daily classes and events, minimize waste, manage stock issuance in the system, and coordinate with chefs and department heads to keep operations organized.

Qualifications

• Possess a SPM or related discipline

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Teaching Support with the smooth running of Kitchen & Restaurant practical classes, F&B products, cleanliness, utensils and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Assist the preparation of F&B products for daily practical classes and events, maintaining quality, safety, hygiene and sanitation.
• Minimize wastage of F&B products, water and electricity.
• Work with team members to manage stock issuance in the system.
• Collaborate with lecturers, chefs and heads of department to ensure organized operations.
• Ensure equipment is maintained to a good standard with minimal breakage or loss.
• Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and all schools.
• Adhere to HACCP guidelines for fire, hygiene and safety; maintain personal appearance and hygiene.
