Job summary

Wingate Living's Dining Room Manager will oversee dining services for residents in the dining room and event spaces, ensuring a high-quality, person-centered dining experience and coordinating a strong server team.

You will work with the Culinary Services Director on operations, training staff, scheduling shifts, and maintaining menus and service standards; weekend coverage is required.

This full-time role in Providence RI offers health, dental, vision benefits and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three years of experience in food service, with at least one year of supervisory experience.
• Current ServSafe certificate required or willingness to obtain.
• Knowledge of culinary service environment, kitchen equipment, and buffet catering.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and supervise staff directly when required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all dining services for residents in the dining room and designated areas.
• Ensures the dining room is clean, prepared, and staffed to Wingate standards prior to service.
• Greets, seats, and assists residents throughout meal service.
• Maintains order of service for meals, including pre-bussing and clearing.
• Monitors dining room inventory and coordinates replenishment with management.
• Communicates with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and revenue capture.
• Assists with department operations, event planning, and menu presentation; attends meetings as requested.
• Conducts orientation and ongoing training for dining room staff; enforces uniform policy.
