The Northwest Independent School District in Texas is seeking a half-time CTE Teacher - Culinary Academy Chef Instructor to deliver engaging culinary instruction aligned with district and TEA guidelines.

You will develop lesson plans, manage learning activities, assess student progress, and support career readiness through industry certifications and CTSO involvement. A Bachelor’s degree and Texas CTE certificate with endorsements are required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas CTE teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned.
• Industry experience as a culinary chef.
• Industry culinary chef certifications.
• Ability to deliver instruction and manage student behavior.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill district curriculum requirements.
• Prepare lessons reflecting accommodations for different learning styles.
• Present subject matter according to TEA guidelines and policies.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials for individual needs.
• Conduct assessments and use results to plan activities.
• Assist with Career and Technical Student Organization opportunities.
• Support CTE opportunities such as parent meetings, campus tours, or student showcases.
• Pursue industry certifications opportunities for students to ensure preparedness for postsecondary pursuits.
• Maintain classroom environment conducive to learning and safety.
• Communicate with parents and staff to coordinate student progress.
