Job summary

Manheim Township School District seeks a Full Time Food Service Culinary Coordinator to provide culinary, operational, and leadership support across multiple district locations. You will oversee daily kitchen operations with the Food Service Director, Cafeteria Manager, and Lead Food Service Worker, ensuring meals meet NSLP, HFKA, and district nutrition guidelines.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, staff training ability, and the capacity to lift up to 50 pounds while

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to utilize POS and other computer systems.
• Knowledge of food safety and school nutrition operations.
• Ability to work across multiple district sites.

Responsibilities

• Serve as site leader and support cafeteria teams district-wide.
• Rotate between schools to provide coverage as needed.
• Assist with implementing new menu items, recipes, and initiatives.
• Explain procedures and train staff on equipment and recipes.
• Complete daily closing procedures and financial reports.
• Ensure well-balanced meals meet federal program requirements.
• Communicate needs and recommendations to leadership.
• Maintain a positive, organized work environment for staff.
• Assist with staffing and ordering coordination.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
