Hotel AKA NoMad in New York is seeking a talented Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare dishes meeting flavor, aroma, and presentation standards, safely use kitchen equipment, and maintain quality throughout service.

As a Cook, you will follow recipes, assist the chefs, and uphold sanitation standards. The role requires strong guest service, problem-solving abilities, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years cook experience preferred.
• Food handlers license preferred.
• Proficient in English, strong guest service and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow service manuals and handbooks.
• Assist with prep: wash, cut, and portion vegetables, meats, and seafood.
• Prepare foods per recipes and adjust flavors with supervision.
• Follow sanitation and safe food handling practices.
• Weigh and measure ingredients to control recipes.
• Transport food between workstations and kitchen areas.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen.
• Inventory stock and help with supply orders.
• Continuously learn and improve culinary skills and knowledge.
• Support chefs with various duties and take on new tasks.
