Job summary

Phoenix Senior Living's Lodge at Jasper is seeking a Cook to join our team. The Cook reports to the Food and Beverage Director and will handle meal preparation, sanitation, and adherence to menus and recipes.

This role requires at least a high school diploma or GED, a culinary apprenticeship preferred, and 1 year of related food preparation experience. SERV Safe certification is encouraged. Mon-Fri schedule with every other weekend as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/ GED required.
• Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred.
• One (1) year job related experience including food preparation and therapeutic diets.
• Maintains a current SERV Safe certificate or able to participate to become SERV Safe Certified.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals following approved recipes and menus.
• Ensure sanitation of food service areas and maintain records.
• Follow production sheets and instructions; meet temperature and quality standards.
• Handle dietary needs and texture modified foods as directed.
• Operate dish machines and maintain cleanliness.
