Job summary

Sentara Healthcare Inc is seeking a part-time food preparer to cook hot entrees, vegetables, starches, and bakery items for patient traylines, cafés, and events. You will join a team focused on delivering nourishing meals with safety and quality in mind.

The role requires no formal education, but preference is given to candidates with a high school diploma and at least one year of experience with frail or elderly populations. A Food Handlers license is required where mandated.

Qualifications

• Food Handlers license as required by local Health Department; verification upon hire.
• Experience in lieu of degree/diploma will be accepted.

  PACE specific incumbents for this position require a minimum of one year of experience working with the frail or elderly population. Licensure: Food Handlers (as required by local Health Department). Food Handlers required upon hire for all locations for SLC positions. Experience in Lieu of degree/diploma will be accepted.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $20.32 - $29.73 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
