Job summary

Tallahassee State College seeks a full-time Culinary Career/Technical Educator Instructor for the Quincy Annex Correctional Institute in Quincy, Florida. This grant-funded role involves teaching an approved career/technical education program, guiding students toward industry certifications, and coordinating with education staff to support academic and career pathways.

Qualifications

High school diploma or AS or higher with four years of vocational experience or an AS+ with two years in the vocation.
Experience in commercial hospitality food prep; teaching adults and non-traditional learners; ability to obtain SafeServ certification.
Commitment to working in a state correctional institution; able to pass background/TB screenings.

Responsibilities

Teach a career/technical education program and facilitate various teaching environments to help students earn industry certifications.
Assist students with academic and career pathways plans; maintain safe instructional environment and equipment.
Guide students and advise on resources; keep student files and report data to Florida Department of Corrections.
Complete paperwork, track data, review test scores, create lesson plans, and maintain attendance records.
Attend staff meetings and professional development; perform other duties as assigned.
